Projects

Apos Audio and the creation of smaller community-driven projects laid the foundations for Apos 𝒙.

At Apos Audio, we champion ideas our community wants to bring to life. Some, like the Apos 𝒙 Geshelli Merlin DAC, grew directly from conversations within the community. Others, like the SJY Horizon, came from independent creators with exceptional engineering talent but little experience bringing a product to market. We partnered with them to bridge that gap. These are just two examples among dozens of projects we've helped bring to life.Β

We're now expanding this approach by both increasing the number of projects we pursue and by taking on more ambitious challenges. One example is Salad Days Records, a physical space built around the idea that communities thrive when they have somewhere to gather. More than a record store, it’s a place where new creators can meet, exchange ideas, and develop future projects.Β

First Project: Salad Days Records

Apos 𝒙 provided the infrastructure to help Andy Cook bring Salad Days Records to life. Andy has spent years building a music community on Whidbey Island through listening sessions and conversations that helped him understand what people wanted from a shared space. Those ideas gradually took shape as Salad Days Records.

While the vision is unmistakably Andy's, the space is an example of what a community can create when it works together. Local artists, makers, and music lovers contributed their own skills, building furniture, curating records and media, donating equipment, creating artwork, and shaping the space in countless ways. Andy guided the project from the beginning, but the end result reflects everyone who helped build it. Even before opening its doors, Salad Days Records has already begun attracting visitors eager to see what the community has created together.
